Remote OK

Remote OK is a job board where companies pay to post remote jobs in programming, design, sales, support and other fields. Its homepage says job posts reach more than 14.9 million remote workers, a figure the site reports about itself.^{Source [4]}

Levels built it in early 2015 to address what he saw as a discovery problem: mainstream job boards had no proper remote category. It began by pulling remote listings from other boards and merged with Nomad Jobs, his 2014 remote job board.^{Source [2]Source [1]}

He has described the site as running from a single PHP file with no frameworks apart from jQuery. In April 2021 he reported it generated $101,101 in a month, mostly from job posts and partly from ads.^{Source [5]}

Beyond job listings it offers a public Remote Jobs API and JSON feed, a resume builder and referral links to nomad health insurance and payroll services.^{Source [4]Source [1]}

Pieter Levels launched Remote OK in 2015 as a daily aggregator of remote jobs pulled from other job boards, as part of his 12 startups in 12 months challenge, and it reached number one on Product Hunt.
