About Founded
A free public record of the companies founders built, including the ones that didn't make it.
Most founder databases sit behind paywalls, and most founder stories only cover the wins. Founded keeps the whole record: every company, what happened to it, and where its people went next. Every fact links to a public source, and founders can claim their profile to correct it and add their own story.
Ownership disclosure
Founded is owned by a co-founder of Flocksy, a creative services company. The Articles section includes reviews of Flocksy and its competitors. Links to Flocksy in those articles are marked as sponsored. Flocksy is never promoted on founder or company records.
