Every fact on a record cites a public source: company websites, filings, press coverage, or the founder. Unsourced claims are removed.

Editors and AI

Editors may use AI tools to find and summarize sources. A person checks every fact against its source before it is published. AI never writes facts that are not in a cited source.

Founder-written chapters

Chapters written by a verified founder are labeled as theirs and shown separately from editorial facts.

Privacy

We publish professional history only. No home addresses, family details, personal phone numbers or exact birth dates. We use photos only when the founder uploads one.

Corrections and removal

Anyone can suggest a correction. Each page keeps a public history of changes. People can ask to be removed.

Outcomes

Companies are labeled Active, Acquired, IPO, Merged, Shut down or Bankrupt. A shut-down company is part of the record, not a mark against anyone.
