About Oklo

Oklo develops advanced fission power plants called Aurora powerhouses, designed to produce 15 to 75 megawatts of electricity and heat and to run on fresh, recycled or down-blended nuclear fuel. Its fast reactor design builds on the Experimental Breeder Reactor-II, which the U.S. government operated for 30 years.Source [1]

The company is also commercializing nuclear fuel recycling and, through its 2025 acquisition of Atomic Alchemy, radioisotope production. Its first Aurora powerhouse is planned at Idaho National Laboratory, and it is developing a 1.2 gigawatt power campus in Pike County, Ohio under a January 2026 prepayment agreement with Meta.Source [1]

Oklo was founded in 2013 by Jacob DeWitte, its chairman and CEO, and Caroline DeWitte (formerly Cochran), its COO. It became a public company on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2024 by merging with AltC Acquisition Corp., whose CEO was Sam Altman, Oklo's chairman from 2015 until April 2025.Source [1]Source [2]Source [4]

It has not yet received NRC approval or licensing and reported no revenue for 2025, with a net loss of $105.7 million and $1.41 billion in cash and marketable securities at year end.Source [1]
