Sergey Brin is a computer scientist and the co-founder of Google. As a Stanford graduate student he was assigned to show Larry Page around campus in 1995, and the two went on to build a link-based search engine, first called BackRub, that became Google.Source [1]Source [2]
Brin was Google's President and Chairman of the Board from September 1998 to July 2001, President, Technology from 2001 to 2011, and President from May 2011 to October 2015. He stepped back from the President role in December 2019, when Sundar Pichai became CEO of both Alphabet and Google.
