About
Larry Page is a computer scientist and the co-founder of Google, which he started with Sergey Brin after the two met at Stanford University in 1995. Google Inc. was incorporated in 1998 after Sun co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim wrote the pair a $100,000 check. Page was the company's first CEO from September 1998 to July 2001 and also its CFO until 2002, then led products as President, Products from 2001 to 2011.Source [1]Source [3]Source [4]
Page returned as Google's CEO in April 2011. In August 2015 he announced Alphabet, a new holding company with Google as its largest unit, and served as Alphabet's CEO from October 2015 until December 2019, when he and Brin handed day-to-day leadership to Sundar Pichai.Source [3]Source [5]Source [6]Source [7]
