About TypingMind

TypingMind is a chat front end for large language models. Users add their own API keys for providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google and chat with those models through one interface, with agents, plugins, a prompt library, a RAG knowledge base, MCP server connections and cloud sync.^{Source [5]}

The personal version began as a static web app with no back end, activated by a license key and sold as a one-time purchase. Dinh later added subscription products: cloud sync, and a custom Team version that gives organizations a branded internal AI workspace with central model access and user management.^{Source [6]}^{Source [5]}

Dinh reported $22K of license revenue in its first seven days, $500K in total revenue by February 2024 and $1M in revenue over the 12 months to November 2024. In October 2025 he wrote it was making about $130K to $160K a month and that B2B Team subscriptions had passed 50% of monthly revenue. What happened

Tony Dinh built TypingMind in the week after OpenAI released the ChatGPT API and released it on March 6, 2023. It started as a one-time-purchase web app and added a subscription Team version for organizations. It is operating today and its terms of service name Typing Technology Co.
