About Taskforce

Taskforce was a browser extension that sat inside Gmail and let users convert emails into tasks, set due dates and reminders, and add collaborators who were alerted by email and did not need to use the product themselves.Source [1]

The founders told TechCrunch the idea came from Pantucci's experience during the 2010 Icelandic volcanic eruption.Source [1]

What happened

Niccolo Pantucci and Courtland Allen built Taskforce and went through Y Combinator in winter 2011. Allen later said they shut it down as a company with big aspirations, though the app stayed online and still made some money passively. Its current status is not established.Source [1]Source [2]Source [3]
