AXS TV is a U.S. cable network that started in 2001 as HDNet, which Mark Cuban's biography describes as the first all high-definition TV network. Early programming included NHL games, college sports, concerts, original series and films, all shown in HD.Source [1]Source [3]Source [4]

On July 2, 2012 the channel relaunched as AXS TV, named after AEG's ticketing platform, as a venture of Cuban, Anschutz Entertainment Group, Creative Artists Agency and Ryan Seacrest. Its programming centers on music, concerts and combat sports.Source [3]Source [7]

In September 2019 Anthem Sports & Entertainment of Toronto bought a majority interest in AXS TV and sister channel HDNet Movies; Cuban and AEG kept equity stakes and Steve Harvey joined as an investor. The channels continued to operate from facilities in Los Angeles and Denver.Source [5]Source [6]
