About Uber

Uber Technologies, Inc. runs a technology platform that connects consumers with drivers, couriers, merchants and freight carriers. As of December 31, 2025 it reported three segments: Mobility (ridesharing, carsharing, micromobility, rentals, transit and taxis), Delivery (restaurants, grocery, alcohol, convenience and retail) and Freight.Source [3]

Uber priced its initial public offering at $45 per share on May 9, 2019 and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange the next day. What happened

Founded in 2009 and incorporated in Delaware as Ubercab, Inc. in July 2010, it changed its name to Uber Technologies, Inc. in February 2011. Co-founder Travis Kalanick was CEO from November 2010 to June 2017 and was succeeded by Dara Khosrowshahi.
