About Delite
Delite let a business create "delites", customizable order forms sent to wholesale customers, who could fill in orders and pay by card without logging in. The idea came from a co-founder's pet products business, which invoiced hundreds of retailers by hand.Source [1]
Walls later cited a scope that was too broad, low usage after onboarding, a lack of integrations, and founders who all held full-time jobs as reasons it failed.Source [1]
What happened
Pat Walls and two friends started Delite in October 2016 to let small manufacturers send retailers no-login wholesale order forms. After about two months building and four months selling, with about 5 to 10 trial customers and a rejection at the Y Combinator interview stage, the founders shut it down.Source [1]
